Applicant downloads application forms from MCOA Website, or requests application forms from the Judges Education Coordinator (General, plus Standard and 60 Point Applications) |

Applicant completes and returns the applications to the Judges Education Coordinator within 90 days. |
| 3. |
Applicant must be approved by the Judges Education Steering Committee and the MCOA Board of Directors before being accepted for the next step. If applicant is not accepted, the applicant can resubmit application in one year. |
| 4. |
Approved Applicant is invited to attend the Judges Education Mentors/Presenter Meeting at the next MCOA National Specialty, and is scheduled for formal training. |
| 5. |
Formal training to consist of: |

a. Mentor training by Judges Education Members on how to mentor |
| |
b. Attend the MCOA Structure and Movement presentation |
|
c. Complete: |
| |
- MCOA Mastiff Standard Exam (closed book)
- MCOA Anatomy Exam (open book)
- (Minimum passing score 90%.)

d. Attend at least 2 hours of ringside mentoring as an observer only. |
| |
e. Conduct at least 2 hours of ringside mentoring while being observed and critiqued by a MCOA approved mentor |

f. Receive a certificate of approval from Judges Ed Coordinator |
| 6. |
Judges Education Coordinator will add new approved mentors to the official list of approved ringside mentors and notify the AKC. Mentors need to be available for at least 4 hrs. ringside mentoring at National Specialties and, if requested, attend the Judges Education Presentation/Hands-On Workshop at the MCOA National Specialty. |
| 7. |
MCOA approved Mentors must be available (within reason) if requested at regional dog shows to provide ringside mentoring for prospective judges. |
| 8. |
MCOA approved Mentors must attend the Judges Education Mentor/Presenter meeting at the National Specialty at least once in four years to maintain approved status. |
